Our passionate volunteers come from all walks of life, from students to professional managers who decided to be part of the AMTV adventure

Meet The AMTV Shel
Production Manager, Community & Teh Tarik Talk Co-Host

Shel

Once upon a time, Shel who hails from the little suburb of SS 3 in Petaling Jaya, Selangor studied Art & Design. Shel was quite talented as an artist and also attended a Computer Graphics College in KL.

She was given the opportunity to be a presenter for good old Metrovision during the interactive 'Space Wars' segments before she joined the world of Radio as a 'Cruiser' which then lead to the role of Radio Announcer. Shel was an on-air personality for almost 10 years, venturing out as an actress in a local film as well as meeting and interviewing many fascinating individuals. While she enjoyed her profession very much, she chose LOVE and moved to Melbourne.

No matter where she is, Shel tends to gravitate towards other Malaysians! From finding the best Malaysian restaurants to chatting about everything Malaysian, any excuse for her to use the "Lah!". Luckily for Shel, she found this wonderful opportunity to be a part of the AMTV Family and lived happily ever after!

Meet The AMTV Alvern Ho
Community & Teh Tarik Talk Co-Host

Alvern Ho

Alvern is a former tax professional who used to ply his trade in an international bank based in one of Asia’s financial centres. Having spent almost 2 decades dwelling in international tax treaties and cross-border financing, Alvern decided to leave the corporate world behind in order to do things that ignite his passion. Apart from some volunteer work, he has spent much of his time in the kitchen perfecting his culinary skills and reading to continue to broaden his horizon. While doing all that, he still keeps a close eye on the global economic scene to keep himself abreast with the world.
He joined AMTV in order to use his other talents to bring about new experiences both to himself and to the Malaysian community. He is hopeful that AMTV will be able to unite all Malaysian communities here in Australia and present our rich cultures to the world in the most spectacular manner possible.
